and so it begins...
I've been avoiding the blog scene like the plague but now, thanks Jason!, it appears I'm left with little alternative but to send the meagre details of my life out into cyberspace and hope it remains hidden in the depths of the web to be drudged up only by my doing. What a world, what a world. I feel as if this is a test and I was too hung over to study. I'm sure with time it gets easier and more natural to publish the insignificance of my values, beliefs, thoughts, and feelings but at the moment I am a marionette with a silenced voice.

Welcome to the fold Bobette.
Please put the recent comments hack back. I don't want to look through each single post to find out if there are more comments. That also means I have to remember how many comments were with each post...
Are you serious? You know how long that bit of code was? Is there some easier shortcut? It was taking up way too much space and I have plans for that space...so many plans.
Yes, I'm serious. The average person (me) will not go and search through each post to see if there is new comments.
If you have 10 posts on your front page, and I leave the site one night and it looks like this:

I'm not going to notice if post 6 had one more comment. Never mind that you posted another blog entry in between my visits so it now looks like this.

Did you notice post #6 from last night (post #7 today) has one more comment? If I'm scrolling down the page, I sure wouldn't. Here it's easy because you can compare the 2 lists, but normally it doesn't work that way.
I decided to sign up your gmail account so that new comments go into your inbox instead of mine. You the only person who ever comments so I'm not worried about missing some stranger's comment.
